Spandauer Liedertag
The Spandauer Liedertag is back, bringing free live music to the streets of Spandau for another year. This beloved open-air event is a true neighbourhood celebration — the kind Berlin does best: no tickets, no fuss, just great music and locals enjoying their Kiez.
Expect a mix of local performers, choirs, and bands spread across outdoor stages in one of Berlin's most underrated districts. Spandau has a charming old town feel that most expats never discover — this event is a great excuse to finally cross the city limits and see a completely different side of Berlin.
The festival is family-friendly, free to attend, and celebrates community through music. It's the sort of spontaneous summer afternoon plan that becomes a favourite memory.
Getting there: Spandau is easily reachable via S-Bahn S75 or U7 to Spandau — about 30–40 minutes from Mitte. Well worth the trip.
Note: Exact date not yet confirmed — check the official Berlin.de event page for updates.
