Every spring, the leafy southwest Berlin district of Steglitz comes alive for its beloved Steglitzer Woche — a traditional neighborhood Volksfest (folk festival) held in the beautiful Bäkepark.
What to Expect
This is a proper local street fair: think food stalls, live music, fairground rides, and the kind of relaxed community atmosphere that reminds you why people actually love living in their Kiez. It's not a tourist event — it's the real deal, a chance to see how Berlin families spend a spring weekend.
The Bäkepark itself is a gorgeous green corridor along the Bäke stream, making it a particularly pleasant setting for an outdoor festival. Expect crowds of locals, kids, and dogs.
